image

Thursday, 19 November 2009 – Road Town, Tortola: Digicel is now a Cisco Premier Certified Partner in the country grouping of Central America, North and South America and the Caribbean (CANSAC).

Digicel has achieved this status by investing in training a highly skilled team to achieve the Express Foundation Specialization. This specialization expands technical competency in the integration of basic routing and switching, wireless LAN, and security technologies.

As a partner, Digicel will be able to provide the business community with top value, through access to Cisco’s most comprehensive sales, technical and lifecycle services training and resources. Digicel would be able to sell, deliver and support Cisco solutions which, combined with Digicel’s own value-added services portfolio, uniquely position Digicel to serve as a trusted technology advisor.

Proven technical expertise is also guaranteed since by maintaining the multiple technology specializations required, Digicel can integrate technologies to deliver the more sophisticated solutions that modern business demands.

Customer satisfaction is also in focus with the new certification, since with access to the same online customer satisfaction evaluation tools used by Cisco, Digicel would be able to identify strengths and develop targeted plans to serve the needs of its business customers.

Juan Segarra, Regional Manager for Cisco, said Digicel has demonstrated its continued commitment to both Cisco and bringing the latest technologies to the marketplace.

In expressing his thoughts regarding the new Cisco partnership, Gerry Ryan, acting General Manager of Digicel BVI, said “I am delighted that Digicel will immediately offer Cisco’s state-of-the-art PBX solutions to the BVI’s business community. This partnership complements our existing suite of business solutions and the combination of one of the world’s largest suppliers of PBX solutions with the Caribbean’s largest mobile telecoms company will offer the local business community a new level of sophisticated telephony services backed up with unbeatable customer service”.
