Miss British Virgin Islands, Josefina Nunez, receives a great welcome as she visits the Adina Donovan Home.
During her visit, Ms. Nunez met with Geriatric Aide, Jacqueline Christopher, who gave the queen a tour of the facilities while educating her about the mission and objective of the home. “It was such a wonderful gesture for Miss BVI to visit and interact with the residents and staff of the Adina Donovan Home.
We all appreciate her presence and hope that she will visit us again soon.” Ms. Christopher said.
One of the residents, by the name of Lisa, touched Miss BVI’s heart as she embraced her. “The hug that I received from Lisa gave me a warm feeling inside and brought tears to my eyes, as I was very humbled by the experience. I am so honoured to be Miss BVI and to be afforded the opportunity to serve my community.”
Additionally, Ms. Nunez joined in with the band as she strummed on the tambourine and sang with the residents. “I was very excited to have visited the home and I want to encourage others to take some time out of their busy schedules to visit the residents who have made contributions to our Territory.” Ms. Nunez said. She also spoke of the dedication and passion of the staff.
As she left, Ms. Nunez presented the residents with fresh fruits, thanked the staff and residents for the hospitality, and promised to visit again.
