image

The quick response from law enforcement officers resulted in the apprehension of a man who broke into Focus, a photography studio, on Main Street this morning at about 6 am.

Reports reaching BVI News stated that eyewitnesses saw the man entering the building and immediately called the police, and in just a few minutes officers were able to nab him with a bag of picture frames and digital cameras.

I would assume that this worker is from outside BVI ?

He should be deported immediately after serving his sentence, and never allowed back.

Agreement with RAY...
Kudos to the police and de citizen who made the call..

I am the major shareholder of Focus On Main Street. I am currently in the UK. of course, I am delighted the robber was caught - my sincere thanks to all concerned. BUT, This is the 2nd robbery of our store this year. I understand the perbitrator was a hospital construction worker - one of the group of workers living at Prospect Reef? Ironically we are also one of the many disenfranchised owners of a time share at that resort that has been sequestrated by the BVI government and is being used to house these construction workers. This may be a small crime, but to us the damage is huge. We are without stock until the case is heard and the evidence, our property returned. Our shop front is damaged - further reducing our income until it can be repaired. So much for being honest, struggling Locals trying to work for a descent living. We lose and then we lose again.

Kudos to the good citizen who made the call to the police, and kudos to the police for a timely response. This is a perfect example of what can happen when the community and the police work together..the criminals gets swept off the streets.
